Confirm that the contractor’s work is ready for cleanup
Ask whether dusty tasks and major deliveries are complete. Clarify who removes tools, packaging, offcuts and bulky debris. A house-cleaning appointment is not automatically a construction waste-removal service.
Keep utilities available and explain which rooms can be entered. If a contractor will return for final adjustments, consider whether a later touch-up visit may be needed rather than expecting one appointment to cover an active worksite.

Check the result with the agreed scope while the rooms remain clear. Distinguish removable dust from unfinished installation, scratches or defects that should go back to the contractor.
